19 Jun Favourite Cruelty-Free Makeup Products
Cruelty-free makeup products are definitely on the rise in the beauty world in recent years, and there is now a great range to choose from. If you’re looking for some high quality, reasonably priced Cruelty-free and Vegan beauty products, here is a list of my 5 favourites at the moment!
I am such a fan of nude, matte eyeshadows, and if you are too then you must invest in one of these palettes. These taupe-hued colours are perfect for everyday use, and I love how I use every colour equally as opposed to only using one colour in the palette. What’s great is that there is also a subtle highlight colour that has a cute satin finish that you could use on the middle of your lid or your inner corner.
4. Bare Minerals Bare Skin Concealer (Light)
In my opinion, there isn’t a huge selection of cruelty-free/Vegan concealers out there at the moment, but I would say that Bare Minerals’ one must be up there with the best. This product is super smooth and silky so it doesn’t crease and get stuck in any fine lines or wrinkles. I mainly use this for under my eyes, on my forehead and chin, and it gives such a bright, but natural look; as its name ‘Bare Skin’ suggests, it definitely does not reveal that you are wearing concealer.
I feel that this eyeliner is a perfect choice for people who aren’t experts at applying liquid liner (e.g. me), but also great for professionals too. It’s precise, flexible tip makes for such easy application and the thinness of it makes it super easy to achieve sharp wings; you only need to lightly brush it along your lid to achieve a dramatic look. This jet-black liner is waterproof and has never faded whenever I have had it on.
I have medium length lashes but they are dead straight, and I have never been able to find a brand of mascara that successfully keeps them curled – until I tried this one! If you’re looking for a deep, black, dramatic mascara then “Better than Sex” is definitely for you, it’s even effective when you don’t curl your lashes beforehand. One coat normally does the trick for me, but go for two if you’re trying to achieve a ‘false lashes’ look.
It doesn’t flake off (unless I touch them, which I have a habit of doing), but it does tend to smudge a bit when I use it on my bottom lashes (but most mascaras do for me anyway).
I’ve linked to Amazon as it’s a great deal (£19.88) especially if you have prime as it’s next day free delivery – such a lifesaver.
I’ve been using this product for a while now and am not changing to a different one anytime soon! The pretty champagne hue gives a natural glow to the skin and will fit perfectly with fair to medium skin tones. It’s enriched with Argan oil, which nourishes the skin by moisturising it and giving it a natural boost.
You can use it to highlight the typical spots (brow bone, cheek bone, inner eye corner etc.) or you can mix it in with your foundation for a subtle all-over glow from within.
The illuminiser comes with a pump, but I tend to unscrew the whole thing so that I have more control over how much product I use.
I’m always on the lookout for more to add to my collection so I’d love to know what your favourite cruelty-free beauty products are!
