4 Beauty Products I’ve been Loving

Vegan Beauty

I don’t buy makeup too often, and so over the past two months or so I have gathered a few new products; some of them I seriously love, and need to talk about, so here are the four new cruelty-free, and Vegan beauty products that I am currently loving (and will definitely buy again).

  1. Bareminerals Complexion Rescue*

I have pretty dry and sensitive skin, and so am always on the lookout for ways to give my skin a more dewy look (as opposed to patchy, red, and dry), and this product is actually really great. It comes out like a foamy tinted moisturiser, and is super natural looking and light coverage, which is exactly what I want for the summer (it hardly feels like you have any makeup on). I was skeptical at first as it tells you to apply it with your hands (a beauty blender will probably just absorb it), but I was surprised to find that it blends perfectly. There is a Bareminerals dual fiber synthetic smoothing face brush* that is known to work perfectly with this product, and I will definitely invest in this eventually as it’s super cheap (for a brush) and I will of course be purchasing Complexion Rescue again.  When wearing this tinted moisturiser* I still have to cover my blemishes with a light blob of concealer, but it seems to nicely even out the colour of my face, and make me look dewy and fresh. I will definitely be repurchasing this product, although, I will mainly use for everyday use, as I sometimes like to wear a fuller coverage foundation. I purchased mine from Amazon (linked above) to save me from travelling to the nearest department store, and because I have Amazon Prime it was cheap and quick!

  1. Lush Imperialis Moisturiser

This is the second moisturiser I have used from Lush’s range, and definitely my favourite. The first I tried was ‘Skin Drink’, but it made my face quite greasy, and felt very heavy. ‘Imperialis’ is good for combination type skin and has made my face look so much brighter and healthier since I have been using it. It’s quite thin and watery, but you’d be surprised at how little you need to cover your whole face. My favourite thing about this moisturiser is the beautiful smell – it leaves my face smelling like I’ve been lying in a field full of pretty wildflowers. My only criticism of Lush products is the packaging; no matter how careful I am with it, it always seems to seep out and dry around the edges.

  1. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray*

OK, I know I’m a little late on this one (as I am with most makeup products), but it’s better late than never! I love how this spray doesn’t settle into any lines on my face, it feels so weightless and you can feel the tightening of your skin immediately after you use it. Supposedly it keeps your makeup in place for 16 hours, but I haven’t quite tested it for that long yet. This spray* hasn’t failed me yet; I tend to wear my makeup for around 8ish hours maximum, and it seems to always stay. What’s handy is that you can wet your eyeshadow brush with the spray and apply it to your lid for an even more intense colour pop.

  1. Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Cleanser*

I use this cleanser* before bed whenever I’ve been out during the day as it’s great for feeling refreshed. You apply it to a damp face and work the product in with gentle circular motions, and then rinse it off with warm water. I almost gave up on using this product as I didn’t see a difference in my face within a few weeks, however, I kept at it and I’m so pleased that I did. Between this, and the Lush moisturiser, my face has brightened up and looks super healthy lately. I would definitely recommend this to anyone; it’s fairly cheap and a little bit goes a long way. I can’t wait to try more of the Nip+Fab range! (You can also find it in Boots* for £5.30 or Superdrug* for £5.29)

I’m all into Vegan products! This is a bit embarrassing but apart from LUSH, the other brands I’ve never heard of! Definitely will take a look and hopefully will try them out!

Omg I love the Urban Decay setting spray so much that I had to purchase the huge $32 bottle lol. You just reminded me that I need to take a trip to Lush. Great blog post with great products.

Hahah me too! Supposedly the NYX setting spray is a dupe for it, so I’m going to try that next. Fingers crossed, it’ll save so much money. Thank you 🙂

I have only tried a couple of setting sprays, but I do love this one. I think I’ll try the NYX one next to see if I can be converted!

I was super surprised with how soft it makes my face feel! It’s only £5.30 too. I can’t believe I was paying over £20 for cleansers before haha
