Noughty Haircare Event + Product Review

Noughty Haircare

A couple of weeks ago I went to the 1-year anniversary event for Noughty Haircare, and it really set the bar for all future blogger events! This was my first event, and so I can’t wait to go to another, as this one was so fun.

This wasn’t just any blogger event though, we actually got to visit Pineapple Dance Studios and have an hour’s burlesque class. I was totally out of my comfort zone as burlesque is probably the last dance that I ever thought I’d try out in my lifetime, but it was great pretending to be a dancer for a little while… I now have a newfound appreciation for all burlesque dancers, as it’s more difficult than I thought it would be. Burlesque takes a whole lot of confidence, something that I do not have!!

Anyway, the event was wonderful, we got to drink Prosecco, talk to some lovely people, dance, learn a little about their new product range, and take plenty of boomerangs. Afterwards, we left with the cutest (and biggest) goodie bag that I have ever received! It contained the products from their new range for us to try out, which I’m going to share my opinion of right now.

‘To The Rescue’ Shampoo & Conditioner

For: Frizzy & Damaged Hair

I have already reviewed the Noughty ‘Rise & Shine’ shampoo and conditioner, and mentioned that it makes my hair feel perfect, which it definitely does. I feel as if ‘To The Rescue’ is much more fitting for my hair as it definitely needs extra moisture. Although Noughty products make my hair feel soft, silky, and shiny after I’ve used them, I realise that my hair does become greasier a little quicker than it usually would. However, this only started to happen a few weeks after using Noughty shampoo & conditioner consistently. I think this is down to the fact that their products are wholly natural, and so it’s not expected for them to make your hair clean for a long period of time, but also because I am used to using quite a smaller amount of product when I shower. Perhaps their shampoo & conditioner is not something you can ration with. Superdrug usually has great deals on the Noughty products e.g. buy one and get second half price. Buy the shampoo here, and the conditioner here.

‘To The Rescue’ Anti-Frizz Serum

For: Frizzy & Damaged Hair

The end of my hair gets so frizzy whenever I brush it, and so I’m always on the look out for vegan, cruelty-free frizz serums. I really like this product and will likely continue to purchase it once this one has run out. The instructions recommend using a pea sized amount of product to apply to the ends of your hair, however, I tend to use a little more for it to take effect. Find it here.

‘Rise & Shine’ Hydrate & Shine Serum

For: Normal to Dry Hair

I have used this a few times now, and it’s worked well as a pair with the ‘Intense Moisture Treatment’ in terms of keeping my hair shiny. I haven’t seen massive differences to the ends of my hair solely due to this product, but it definitely hasn’t caused any negative effects. I’ll update this blog post if I notice anything substantial! Find it here.

‘Wave Hello’ Curl Defining Taming Cream

For: Curly & Wavy Hair

This has proved to be a great little product for taming fly aways. I don’t tend to style my hair very often, but this would be perfect for those who do. The only negative is that I seem to use quite a bit of product each time, but I suppose you have to use a little more than usual when dealing with natural products! If you want to get rid of your frizz, and bring out your curls, this is a great choice! Find it here.

‘To The Rescue’ Intense Moisture Treatment

For: Frizzy & Damaged Hair

I’ve used this treatment several times now and I couldn’t be more pleased. So much product comes in the container, and you only need to use one scoop to cover your hair (I only use one scoop and my hair is below my shoulders). The first few times I tried it I left it on for around 8-10 minutes, and my hair felt just as soft and hydrated as when I left it on for the full 20 minutes. I tested out how long my hair took to get oily once using the treatment, and it literally took 5 days before my hair to visibly become a little greasy and lifeless – so worth the money. Find it here.

The people at Noughty are so lovely and think this brand is so good to bloggers, and customers. I would really recommend them to anyone looking for great quality vegan and cruelty-free products, especially those with hair on the drier side! Thank you again to Noughty for inviting me to celebrate your 1-year anniversary with you, and for letting me try your fabulous products!
